Drenia or ‘Donkey islands’, as they are called by the locals, is an island group of 6 rocky islets across Ouranoupoli and southeast of Ammouliani. They are commonly characterized as “The Blue Lake of Halkidiki” and the reason is their crystal clear blue waters. A paradise with unique gulfs, golden sand and emerald water, combined with the dense green will create the absolute relaxation landscape even for the most demanding visitor.
On the biggest islet there is an organized beach with a mini bar and two restaurants serving all kinds of dishes. You can visit Drenia either by a private vessel or by the boats that make frequent itineraries starting from the port in Ouranoupoli. The route? The least…spectacular.
